Breastfeeding Consultant Services

Responses to this RFP must be received no later than 2:00pm on Friday, November 3, 2023.

The Wellness Coalition seeks a professional Breastfeeding Consultant to provide services and assist in implementing breastfeeding interventions. This supports the REACH Cooperative Agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) program. These services will be provided in the priority population in identified census tracts of Autauga, Lowndes, Macon, and Montgomery counties. The selected individual should provide evidence of being an International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiner (IBLCE)*, Lactation Consultant (CLC), Certified Breastfeeding Educator (CBE), Certified Childbirth Educator (CCE), and/or Certified Lactation Educator (CLE).

Lead Program Evaluator

Proposal Submission Deadline: November 3, 2023

The Wellness Coalition seeks an individual or organization to provide professional program evaluation services supporting the REACH Cooperative Agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The selected entity will provide program evaluation support, working with the lead evaluator in evaluating the REACH program interventions that aim to (1) improve nutrition, (2) promote physical activity, (3) improve breastfeeding rates, and (4) increase access to adult vaccination programs in the priority population in REACH-identified census tracts in Autauga, Lowndes, Macon and Montgomery Counties in Alabama.

Nutritionist/Food Policy Consultant

Responses to this RFP must be received no later than 2:00pm on Friday, November 3, 2023.

The Wellness Coalition seeks assistance with professional program implementation/continuation of services in Autauga, Lowndes, Macon, and Montgomery counties. The Wellness Coalition needs consultant services for assistance with Body and Soul services for the Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) cooperative agreement. The selected individual should provide evidence of having experience working with churches in implementing the Body & Soul and Food Pantries Program. The Body & Soul program has been created to support the church’s role in healthy eating and in creating and implementing Food Policies that will guide the church in selecting and serving meals at church services and events. Following the Food Service Guidelines and creating Support Groups that will work to improve the lives of the church members and their close communities. The individual should have a background in the Health Field: Registered Nurse (RN), Nutritionist (LD/LN), Certified Health and Wellness Coach (CHWC), and/or Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).

Physical Activity Consultant

Responses to this RFP must be received no later than 2:00pm on Friday, November 3, 2023.

The Wellness Coalition is seeking professional Nutritionist/Physical Activity consultant services to provide guidance in implementing Healthy Nutrition and Physical Activity Standards in Autauga, Lowndes, Macon, and Montgomery counties relative to the Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The following individuals should provide evidence of a degree in Kinesiology, A degree in sports science or a related field, be a certified personal trainer, have experience in the fitness industry, and possess knowledge of exercise physiology and anatomy. Ability to develop and implement individualized fitness plans for community members and
partners.
