DESCRIPTION:The Wellness Coalition Trusted Messengers committee is a part of Champions for Change\, and seeks to increase confidence in\, and uptake of\, adult vaccination. Trusted Messengers work to provide our community with access to accurate and updated information on the COVID-19 vaccine\, influenza\, routine vaccines\, and the process of acquiring vaccines. \nThe Trusted Messengers committee will consist of community health workers\, local leaders\, and community members who will receive training in the dissemination of accurate and up-to-date information on the benefits of receiving adult vaccinations\, including those for COVID-19\, influenza\, and routine vaccines. Additionally\, the committee is purposed with responding to and dispelling vaccination misinformation. \nTrusted Messengers will: \n\nPromote the benefits of receiving recommended vaccines\nProvide accurate and updated information to address misinformation\nShare opportunities to attend virtual vaccination briefings where the most up-to-date and verified information will be share\nShare opportunities to access vaccinations at vaccination clinics\nIdentify organizations that will benefit from hosting employee vaccination clinics via our partnerships with local vaccination providers\n\nSign Up to be a Trusted Messenger\n  \nAlready a member? The committee will work to educate\, promote\, improve\, and make available safe and accessible streets\, bicycle lanes\, sidewalks\, transportation\, parks\, and trails\, land\, and schools for families and individuals to be physically active. This will be accomplished by: \n\nUsing the CDC Active Community Tool to assess community plans\, policies\, and resources for improving built environments for physical activity\nPromoting the benefits of being more physically active throughout everyday activities\nEducating and informing others about the importance of having equitable access to safe and accessible infrastructure\nIdentifying opportunities to improve infrastructure in rural areas\nPartnering with organizations that can partner with the committee to enhance community design at specific locations\n\nTrailblazers Task Force Committee members will:  \n\nServe as a public forum for discussion on issues on activity friendly routes and everyday destinations\nHelp asses the needs of community infrastructure for safe\, clean\, and accessible routes and destinations\nIdentify and address concerns and issues on infrastructure and how they affect the community and stakeholders\nAct as liaison between public and private sectors\nBuild relationships with organizations and stakeholders that manage and are responsible for infrastructure\nPromote and provide ideas to increase education and knowledge on the importance of not only being physically active but also caring for the infrastructure and improvements that are provided\nGive a voice to often marginalized community members affected by lack of access to activity-friendly routes and everyday destinations\nPlay an active role in educating policymakers and the public on the importance of providing maintenance safety to activity-friendly routes and everyday destinations\n\nExamples of activity friendly routes: \n\nStreet design\nInfrastructure to accommodate pedestrians and bicyclists\nPublic transportation\n\nExamples of everyday destinations: \n\nLand use planning\nParks and recreational facilities\nSchools\n\nSign Up for the Trailblazers Task Force\n\n  \nAlready a member? The committee will work to educate\, promote\, improve\, and make available safe and accessible streets\, bicycle lanes\, sidewalks\, transportation\, parks\, and trails\, land\, and schools for families and individuals to be physically active. This will be accomplished by: \n\nUsing the CDC Active Community Tool to assess community plans\, policies\, and resources for improving built environments for physical activity\nPromoting the benefits of being more physically active throughout everyday activities\nEducating and informing others about the importance of having equitable access to safe and accessible infrastructure\nIdentifying opportunities to improve infrastructure in rural areas\nPartnering with organizations that can partner with the committee to enhance community design at specific locations\n\nTrailblazers Task Force Committee members will:  \n\nServe as a public forum for discussion on issues on activity friendly routes and everyday destinations\nHelp asses the needs of community infrastructure for safe\, clean\, and accessible routes and destinations\nIdentify and address concerns and issues on infrastructure and how they affect the community and stakeholders\nAct as liaison between public and private sectors\nBuild relationships with organizations and stakeholders that manage and are responsible for infrastructure\nPromote and provide ideas to increase education and knowledge on the importance of not only being physically active but also caring for the infrastructure and improvements that are provided\nGive a voice to often marginalized community members affected by lack of access to activity-friendly routes and everyday destinations\nPlay an active role in educating policymakers and the public on the importance of providing maintenance safety to activity-friendly routes and everyday destinations\n\nExamples of activity friendly routes: \n\nStreet design\nInfrastructure to accommodate pedestrians and bicyclists\nPublic transportation\n\nExamples of everyday destinations: \n\nLand use planning\nParks and recreational facilities\nSchools\n\nSign Up for the Trailblazers Task Force\n\n  \nAlready a member? DESCRIPTION:The Wellness Coalition Healthy Voices committee is a part of Champions for Change\, and focuses on bringing together a broad group of stakeholders and community members to create change in the local food systems. This group of people will come together to assess and recommend practices that affect one or more aspects of the food system in a specific area. The committee seeks to create a healthy community with a thriving local food system that: \n\nPromotes access to healthy and culturally appropriate food for all residents\nAssesses and promotes the valuing and preserving of community land for food production.\nDevelop partnerships to maximize the use of local\, regional\, and seasonal foods\nIdentifies organizations that can work to meet the needs of the present generation without compromising the needs of future ones\nShares messages to promote economic development within the existing food systems\n\nMembers that form this committee are made up of representatives of the following areas of expertise: \n\nAgriculture\nFood processing\nFood inspection\nFood distribution\nHealthcare\nHunger relief\n\nAdditional members may consist of: \n\nConsumers and concerned residents\nEducators\nFarmers\nFood justice advocates\nFood service workers\nGovernment officials\nGrocers\nRepresentatives from nonprofit organizations\n\n  \nHealthy Voices Committee members: \n\nServe as a public forum for discussion of food-related issues.\nCreate a place for assessing the community food system as a whole.\nIdentify and address gaps in the food system.\nAct as liaison between public and private sectors of the food system.\nBuild relationships among stakeholders in the food system.\nWork to make food systems more environmentally sustainable and socially just.\nGive a voice to often marginalized stakeholders\, such as those who rely on the emergency food system.\nPlay an active role in educating policymakers and the public about food system challenges and barriers.\n\n  \nSign Up for Healthy Voices\n  \nAlready a member?
